MTN Rwanda's profit after tax rose 191% to 17.2bn Rwandan francs ($19m) in the first half of 2026, as strong growth in data and fintech boosted the company's performance.
Revenue increased 21.5% to 168.6bn francs, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose 30.4%.
The company said its active mobile-money users increased nearly 15% to 6.4 million, while data subscribers rose 14.5% to 2.7 million.
MTN Rwanda's total subscriber base also grew by 11.4% to 8.7 million.
The company said its fintech business remains a key growth area, with its eKash digital payments service expected to support wider financial inclusion.
MTN Rwanda said it remains confident in its full-year outlook as demand for digital services continues to grow.
